Bio Michael Parks is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He is a product of the Montgomery Public School System where he attended Sidney Lanier High School. Mr. Parks would go on to attend Alabama State University and earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Later, he would earn his Masters of Music Education at Boston University. While attending Alabama State University he helped serve as an Instrumental Assistant for the Sidney Lanier High School band program from 2001-2004. From 2004 to present, Mr. Parks has served as the Band Director of Bessemer City High School formerly known as Jess Lanier High School in Bessemer, Alabama. He is also proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
