MSgt. (Master Sergeant) William Walker Jr.  is in his 16th year as an AFJROTC instructor at Bessemer City High School.  He retired from active duty in the U.S Air Force after serving nearly 22 years.  He is from Bessemer, AL. and a graduate of Jess Lanier High School class of 81.  He is an ordained minister with 28 years of experience, with a passion and calling for jail and prison ministry.  MSgt Walker is an avid handyman, who enjoys reading, traveling, and helping young people realize their potential.  He is co-author of the book "Healing is God's will."
