The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle team learns how to assemble and fly UAVs, as well as, compete against other JROTC teams in course competitions. UAVs reinforce science, technology, engineering, and mathematics-focused objectives. The aviation concept of "mission planning, mission execution, and post-mission analysis" is fully utilized to maximize group and individual learning. Those that successfully complete the training and receive their FAA license will be awarded the UAV badge to wear on the uniform. Additionally, the team will look to work with the Civil Air Patrol and spend time on the computerized flight simulator.
